    Lute Olson is one of the most successful and respected coaches in NCAA history. He has many awards to prove it. His career as a head coach in Division I is mainly comprised of tenures with two different schools. The first was the University of Iowa. During his tenure at Iowa he was the Big Ten Coach Of The Year twice. He then went on to a long and illustrious career at the University of Arizona.Want more? Click here/tag While he was the coach for the Wildcats he won the Pac 10 Coach Of The Year awards an amazing seven times. He was also voted the National Coach Of The Year twice winning the award in 1988 and 1990. He also adds to this list of accomplishments a national title which he won with the 1997 University of Arizona Wildcats team led my Miles Simon.

    As recognition for all of these awards he was inducted into the James Naismith Basketball Hall Of Fame in 2002 while he was still coaching at Arizona. One thing that really stands out with Olson when you look at his win-loss record over his career is his consistency. He led the Wildcats to a mind blowing 20 consecutive seasons with 20 wins.
