Lute Olson is regarded as one of the greatest college coaches of all time. His 46 career NCAA Tournament wins places him one behind UCLA-s legendary coach John Wooden. He is one of only eight coaches to participate in at least five Final Fours, and he is only one of eleven coaches to take two different teams to a Final Four. In his 30 plus years as a head coach he only has two losing seasons and overall his teams averaged almost 23 wins a season.

When mentioning the top college basketball coaches of all time, Lute Olson-s name must be in the conversation. His career total of 781 wins and his .736 winning percentage are both amongst the best of all time in college basketball history. When he was hired at the University of Arizona, the school was not the school that it is today. But he turned that program into a perennial power and now it-s mentioned among the elite schools in the NCAA. As a coach Lute Olson-s resume in impeccable, and his induction into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2002 was a well deserved honor for one the best coaches in the history of college basketball.
